The show tells the story of the Turpin clan, as dysfunctional as a family can get. Father, Bud, keels over dead at the breakfast table and that sets in motion a series of comedic events that culminate in a funeral the likes of which has to be seen to be believed. The show reminds one of an extra long Carol Burnett show sketch and is just as funny.
