Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol"
By Adapted by Anthony E. Palermo

PLANNING & ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING -- Feb 16, 7:00 PM - West Bend Masonic Lodge, 301 University Drive, West Bend, WI 53095
We are seeking interested people for Directing, Stage Management, Cast & Crew members, technical staff, set and costume designers, lighting specialists, special effects people, and anyone interested in being a part of this Christmas Classic - from door greeters to the man "most likely to be Scrooge".
This is the Dickens Classic to be presented in an intimate theater setting that wraps attendees in Dickensonian England starting at the door to the theater. All Ages 8 to 80 are welcome. Cast will number about 25-30, with a crew of about 10 more. There are many speaking and non-speaing parts. Cast is detailed more at the show's website: www.westbendchristmascarol.com
Musical performers will be asked to be in costume as people enter the theater, featuring vocalists, brass quintets, and small ensembles appearing in an English Parlor dressed for the holidays. Small musical groups are also welcome to attend this early planning meeting.
This adaptation includes Dickens himself as Narrator of the show, yet it remains faithful to the original script. Although not a musical, musical transitions, and some dancing in one scene occurs.
"Dickens Pub" will offer refreshments before the show and during intermission.
