Bye Bye Birdie

Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Lee Adams, and Book by Michael Stewart

Directed by Phil Martin

An affectionate satire of how American life is changed when Conrad Birdie, a rock and roll singer, heads to Sweet Apple, Ohio to deliver a farewell kiss to one of his biggest fans before he is drafted. Filled with classic Broadway songs like “Put On a Happy Face” and early rock and roll like “Lot of Livin’ to Do”, Bye Bye Birdie is total fun for the whole family.

Looking for one young boy (possibly could be cast as a girl), age 10-13 to play Randolph. Rehearsals will be about one hour a week (7-8 pm) twice a week until tech week of the show (Sunday, Nov 4 until we open on Nov 9) During that week, the play will run at 7:30.

A wonderful part for a young actor, fun lines, good spirit. some singing, but not a requirement.
