Antonio’s Song / I Was Dreaming Of A Son - Cancelled

By Dael Orlandersmith and Antonio Edwards Suarez

Directed by Mark Clements

St. Antonio’s Song charts one artist’s exploration of self. From the streets of Brooklyn to Russia’s most prestigious ballet training studios, Antonio struggles to reconcile multiple ethnic identities. He wrestles with the definition of masculinity in modern America while discovering the beauty of becoming a father. Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith’s (Until the Flood) powerful poetry is intermixed with stunning original movement and music and evocative projected imagery to create a wholly unique and stunning world premiere production.
