A Midsummer Night's Dream

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Laura Kochanowski

The premier production of DeForest Area Public Library's Dragonroof Players: a reader's theatre performance of a Shakespeare classic that fits our summer reading program theme of "dream big" and "own the night".

Helena loves Demetrius. Demetrius loves Hermia. Hermia loves Lysander. As these four romantics leave the confines of Athens to find freedom in the forest, a band of fairies try to help them all find true love--and accidentally cross their stars. Meanwhile, a crew of tradesmen rehearse a dramatic play in the most hilariously bad way possible.

The performance is one-day-only and free to watch, with donations accepted at the door.
