We are an independent, self-supporting new community youth theatre (high school age) with the purpose of providing quality theatre experiences for teenagers in our area. Besides our three productions per year, we also attend a large variety of theatrical performances within a 2-3 hour radius of Sparta. We offer tech workshops in makeup and costume design, as well as scene construction and painting. Since we are self-supporting, several fund-raisers are a part of our monthly schedules which are established at meetings which take place the last Wednesday of every month.
Upstage Review Theatre Company of Sparta, Wisconsin, is liquidating its entire massive stock of costumes, props, design materials, furniture, set pieces, office equipment, and sound and lighting equipment. Upstage Review Theatre Company shall create and perpetuate a working philosophy of excellence in theatre for teenagers in our community and the surrounding area. This organization shall provide quality educational, creative, and performance opportunities onstage, backstage, and/or in the audience. Through exposure to classic and contemporary literature and by identifying and developing individual theatrical strengths, we intend to encourage participants in establishing a life-long experience in theatre arts. Upstage Review Theatre Company will strive to maintain a strong, positive commitment to the creative and collaborative process in a supportive and safe environment in order to advance the highest possible standards of theatre.
