Natyarpana Dance Company was founded by Kripa Baskaran in an effort
to
propagate the
Indian culture and traditional values through the art form of Bharatnatyam.
Kripa
is an accomplished dancer and choreographer who has won great critical acclaim
and was awarded the title "Natya Ratnam" recently for her purity
in Nritta (footwork) and grace in Abhinaya (expression). She has performed
all over India and traveled widely to countries like United Kingdom, New Zealand
and the USA for performences. Kripa is an instructor in the continuing ed Department
of Dance at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

- Abhinaya, facial expression
- Nattuvangam, art of conducting a dance recital
- Choreography
- Stage management
- Indian mythology
Through dance, Natyarpana aims to cultivate self esteem, grace and poise with
a fine sense of
rhythm and co-ordination. Since its initiation in 2003, Natyarpana has staged
in many cross-cultural
events in Wisconsin and around the states.
