KOJO Productions LLC

KOJO Productions LLC is a newly formulated, local community-based theatrical company. The goals are to bring historically overlooked events, from the African American experience, to the public stage. In addition we want to recognize the global contributions which have been made by a proud people. KOJO Production's final goal is to encourage other groups to pursue their dreams no matter what the obstacles may be. We would like to leave a proud legacy for others to emulate.

This Season

KOJO Productions believes that as artistic members of this society, we owe it to our audiences to provide quality and historically accurate representations of historical events. Events which have not been traditionally portrayed.
An example of this belief come in the form of our May 30, 2009, Premier performance of Buffalo Soldiers: The "Legacy", which played to a packed house at the Overture Center for the Arts' "Playhouse" Theater. The audiences response was overwhelming and genuinely appreciative! We truly believe in the theatrical adage that "Theater can spin straw into gold..."
