Guerrillas in the Midst intends to bring a vital, energetic, thought-provoking and challenging theatre to Madison. Borrowing from the dictionary definitions for guerrilla ("one who engages in irregular warfare"), and midst ("the interior or central point: a position of proximity to the members of a group: a period of time about the middle of a continuing act"), the company will focus on examination of stories of human struggle, both internal and external, against odds.
Guerrillas in the Midst was founded by Ray Dvorak, a graduate of the UW Department of Theater and Drama and grandson to the former UW Band Director, the late Raymond F. Dvorak, and Stephen Montagna, a graduate of the UW graduate Acting program.
